Recovery, meet Yoga

Led by Yoga Therapist in practicum and Yoga of 12-Step Recovery Peer Support Guide Hollie Lloyd, therapeutic yoga for Addiction & Recovery draws on the holistic wisdom of yoga philosophy to support individuals on their journey to sobriety and healing.

Rooted in principles like Ahimsa (non-harming) and Svadhyaya (self-study), this class offers a compassionate space to explore mindful movement, breathwork, meditation, and spiritual study, fostering self-compassion, self-awareness, and inner resilience. Each session includes gentle asanas to release tension, pranayama techniques to calm the mind, and guided meditation to promote grounding and connection.

This class is informed by both modern research and ancient yoga philosophy, aiming to balance the nervous system, manage stress, and help you reconnect with your body and mind in a positive way. Through regular practice, participants are encouraged to cultivate Santosha (contentment) and Tapas (discipline) to strengthen emotional resilience and navigate the challenges of recovery with greater ease.
